Girl, 13, arrested on suspicion of murder in Swindon bailed
PA MediaA 13-year-old girl, who was arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman, was released on bail.
A woman in her 50s was not breathing when police arrived at her home in Swindon at around 19:00 GMT on Friday after being called to a disturbance.
Wiltshire Police said the woman, who was in her 50s and lived at the house in Baydon Close, Moredon, died at the scene.
the girl was later arrested on suspicion of murder and was detained for questioning. He has since been released on bail while investigations continue.
Police said there was no risk to the public, but residents could expect an increased police presence in the area.
A spokesman said: “We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
“As this is a live investigation, please refrain from speculating online as this could harm the ongoing case.”
