Girlguiding unveils first major uniform redesign since 1990

The organization said the uniform combines the charity’s heritage with modern colors and prints.
The range includes 30 garments, 15 accessories and scarves, with prices starting from £12 for a t-shirt.
Design features include hidden pockets on the waistbands, thumb holes and badge belts that function as crossbody bags.
This is the first time in 30 years that Girlguiding has updated its entire product range at once.
Oswald said the series “is about providing girls with the freedom to express themselves while feeling part of our amazing organization.”
The website explains that members do not need to purchase the new uniform immediately and can continue to wear the old uniform until they need a new uniform.
A June Girlguiding survey of 2,000 girls aged 6 to 16 in the UK found 93% said they felt most comfortable when they could choose how to style themselves.
Girlguiding ambassador and presenter Angellica Bell said the new design gave “girls and volunteers the freedom to shape the design in a way that suits them”.
She added: “The new uniform empowers girls and volunteers to embrace their individuality.”
