Gladiators star Giant says viewers have been left ‘disgusted’ by his axe as he hits out at Holly Willoughby’s husband and show boss Dan Baldwin – following his exit over new relationship with OnlyFans model

Gladiators star Giant says viewers are ‘disgusted’ by his ax to grind on the BBC show over his new relationship with OnlyFans model Taylor Ryan.
Last week Giant, real name Jamie Bigg, 40, claimed he was sacked from the popular family show because of the romance and accused the broadcaster of lying about his exit.
Now in a new interview, Jamie has lashed out at Gladiators producer and Hungry Bear boss Dan Baldwin, who is married to Holly Willoughby, claiming he branded Taylor’s smutty career a ‘child protection risk’.
But the former bodybuilder insisted that parents with young children who are fans of the show should support him.
‘I’ve had a lot of messages from parents saying their kids are so sorry I’m leaving the show, I feel like the parents’ reaction has made it really clear that this was never going to be an issue.’
He continued: ‘There’s nothing in our contracts about who you’re allowed to be with, who you’re allowed to love or what relationships you’re allowed to have away from the show.’

Jamie lashed out at Gladiators producer and Hungry Bear boss Dan Baldwin, who is married to Holly Willoughby, claiming he branded Taylor’s racy career a ‘child protection risk’.
Discussing fans’ reactions to his dismissal, he said: Sun: ‘I would also use the word disgust because so many people said how unfair it was. ‘They loved Giant and obviously they love the show.’
The Daily Mail has contacted Hungry Bear and the BBC for comment.
Jamie said in an interview with Good Morning Britain on Wednesday. She said she told bosses she planned to publicly confirm her relationship with the adult content creator, but was axed from the upcoming fourth series shortly afterwards.
And the new couple said it was their appearance together on social media that ultimately cost them their job.
Jamie said: ‘[The BBC] they said I had to explore avenues and have conversations and although I had a positive third series I was told my fourth series His contract was not renewed due to his relationship.’
Taylor confirmed: ‘I am an adult content creator.’ ‘I am creating more than 18 content.’
And Jamie said it’s still unclear why he was released.
He said: ‘It has not been disclosed; I guess you’ll have to ask them. My dismissal was very unceremonious. We have to get our side across. ‘Giant is a character, Jamie is a person.’

Jamie split from ex-wife Katie late last year and the couple later divorced, with Katie saying how upset she was that he had moved on so quickly.
She wrote on Instagram last week: “It was a shock to find out about a new relationship so quickly.
“This is painful and painful to accept, especially as I am still processing the collapse of my 13-year marriage.
“We’re not even divorced yet, which makes this even harder to bear.”
Jamie said: ‘Just to be clear, when we were doing series three, [Taylor and I] We weren’t together.
‘We continue to progress in our relationships. We wanted to be more public. We work together on social media. That’s what sparked the conversations behind closed doors.’
The couple also revealed that they met each other through social media and didn’t know much about each other initially.
Jamie said: ‘I think me and Taylor would say the same thing; We didn’t delve into who each other were before we met. I think his father told him what I did.’
And when talking about why he released his own statement about his departure from the programme, he claimed he wanted to correct the BBC’s narrative.
Jamie split from ex-wife Katie late last year and the couple have since divorced, with Katie saying how hurt she was that he moved on from their 13-year relationship so quickly.
He said: ‘I thought it was very important for me to make my own statement.
‘They said I left the show in a very bad way and that it was my choice to leave. “This wasn’t my choice.”
His statement last week read: I made it clear that I planned to go public with my relationship, including my partner’s work as an OnlyFans creator, and shortly after that I was told I would not be continuing on Gladiators.
‘This wasn’t something I expected, especially given the dedication I put into the role.
‘I have always taken being in the public eye seriously and believe being a role model is about integrity as well as professionalism.
‘For me, this means not hiding who I am or the people I care about.
‘My partner is an incredible person and I have great respect for everything he does; I’m proud to be with him.
‘I am grateful to the BBC and everyone involved in the program for the experience and opportunity I had. My focus is now on the future.
‘I’m excited for what’s next and ready to move on to a new chapter both personally and professionally.’
Jamie also claimed that during subsequent discussions about his removal from the programme, bosses cited “child protection” as the reason for the decision.
The company announced the loss of the cast by publishing a statement on the BBC’s official ‘Gladiator Giant’ Instagram page on Friday.
The headline read: ‘After an incredible run, Giant’s journey in Gladiators has come to an end, but what an adventure it has been.
‘In addition to being a great force when fighting opponents, Giant always inspired confidence and kindness in others; a winning combination proves that he is a true giant not only in strength, but also in spirit. Thank you Dev.’
