Global Diplomats Condemn Delhi Blast, Express Condolences To Families Of Victims | India News

Diplomatic missions and foreign envoys in India have expressed deep sorrow and condolences following the deadly car explosion near Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi, which killed eight people and injured many others.

French Ambassador to India Thierry Mathou also expressed his condolences about X and said, “On behalf of the French people and government, I express our deepest condolences to those who lost their loved ones in the Red Castle explosion. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and we wish a full and complete recovery to all the injured.”

Japan’s Ambassador to Japan, ONO Keiichi, shared the following from Japan: “I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life in the explosion in Delhi. I offer my deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.”

British High Commissioner to India Lindy Cameron shared her thoughts on X: “My thoughts are with everyone affected by the explosion near the Red Fort in New Delhi today. If you are in the immediate area please follow the advice of local authorities.”

Messages from global leaders and diplomats reflect international concern over the tragic incident that shook the national capital.

The explosion occurred when a car with Haryana registration plate parked near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort Metro Station exploded; At least eight people were killed and dozens injured. Many nearby vehicles caught fire, street lamps were damaged, and the injured were taken to LNJP Hospital, where their condition was monitored.

Police, NIA, NSG and forensic teams reached the spot within minutes and the area was cordoned off. CCTV footage is being scanned to determine the sequence of events and identify the perpetrator.

High alerts have been issued in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Mumbai, while security around crowded public places and religious venues has been stepped up.
