Gloucestershire: Three people ‘unaccounted for’ after Boxing Day house fire in Stroud

Police have confirmed three people are missing following a Boxing Day house fire in Gloucestershire.

Emergency services responded to a property on Brimscombe Hill, near Stroud, at around 3am.

One person was hospitalized for treatment; The identities of the three are still unknown.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene along with crews from Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service and the ambulance service.

“One person managed to get off the property and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Infirmary for treatment.

“The other three individuals believed to be on the property have not yet been identified and efforts are ongoing to locate them.”

Roads were closed in Brimscombe Hill while emergency services were at the scene and people were asked to avoid the area.

The spokesman added that the investigation is continuing to determine the cause of the fire.
