Goa nightclub fire: ED conducts raids against Luthra brothers

The Enforcement Directorate has been carrying out search operations since the early hours of Friday morning, January 23, 2026, at the residential and office premises of Ajay Gupta, owners of Luthra brothers and Birch by Romeo Lane, in Arpora, Goa, where 25 people lost their lives in a fire that broke out during a party last month.
The ED aims to investigate the money laundering angle linked to the illegal functioning of the club and the role of those supporting the club in the background of the unfortunate fire accident that killed 25 people in Goa on December 6, 2025.
Searches are being carried out at eight to nine locations across Delhi and Goa, including Outram Lanes (Kingsway Camp), Tatvam Villas in Gurugram and the premises of the then Sarpanch, Roshan Redkar and Panchayat Secretary Raghuvir Bagkar in Goa. These individuals are alleged to be intermediaries in illegal trade and issue illegal trade licenses and no-objection certificates.
Emergency services are also on Surinder Kumar Khosla’s premises to examine the money laundering angle arising from illegal conversion of money. cantor Agency sources said the land where Birch by Romeo Lane is located is (salt pan).
