Enhanced Highway Lighting to Boost Nighttime Road Safety, Says Gadkari

Haydarabad: Unity Road and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, the ministry for all citizens to build safer motorways to build meticulous vehicle norms and advanced road infrastructure, he said.
He confirmed that lighting systems provide optimal lighting without compromising the safety of other road users and thus to minimize the risk of traffic accidents associated with glare, and confirmed the firm implementation of the Automotive Industry Standards (AIS) vehicle headlamps.
Answering a question about the accidents caused by Hyderabad deputy Asaduddin Owaisi’s high -beam headlamp shine, Gadkari said that there is not a specific data recorded for such accidents. In order to further increase visibility and reduce night accidents, the minister emphasized strong efforts to raise the highway lighting infrastructure.
Following the Comprehensive Indian Road Congress directives, bright and efficient lighting is installed in vital places such as mercenaries, recreation areas, upper parts, changes and other high traffic zones. These improvements significantly increase driver’s safety and comfort during night trip.
Gadkari, human behavior and road conditions from vehicle standards to vehicle standards, road safety is approached in a comprehensive way, he said.
The Minister shared detailed statistics about traffic accidents in India from 2018 to 2022 and emphasized that the government closely monitored the events until the day. These data help to adapt targeted interventions to increase security at night when visibility difficulties increase.
