Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit detectives arrested the 58-year-old Robina man on Saturday night after investigating allegations dating back to November 2020.

Following what investigators described as extensive investigations, the man was charged with 12 offenses involving six teenage girls.

The charges include six counts of stalking, two counts of indecent treatment of a child and one count each of sexual assault, abuse of power, possession of child abuse material and creation of child abuse material.

Police refused the man bail following his arrest.

He is scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Detectives appealed for anyone with information that could help further the investigation.
