Measles hotspots: WA Health reveals new exposure sites after confirmed case in returned Bali traveller

Health officials are investigating the potential connections between a traveler who returned from Bali and a new incident of measles confirmed in the last cluster in Perth and Pilbara regions.

Wa Health confirmed that the last case visited a few retail points, between July 31 and 6 August, infectious, including a popular Brunch spot in Hight.

On Wednesday, two cases were detected in relation to three cases in the Perth and Pilbara cluster last month, and then called for overseas travelers and flight workers to control vaccination.

Clare Huppatz, the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Disease Control, said that everyone who visits these places should watch the symptoms at times listed.

Dr HuPPATZ, “Measles, close to people in the air, extremely contagious, but vaccine is a preventive disease,” he said.

“Drops in the air can infectious people entering a room for up to 30 minutes after an infected person quit him.”

The symptoms of highly infectious virus usually occur about 10 days after exposure, but can take up to 18 days.

It starts with fever, fatigue, cough, nose and throat eyes, then after three or four days, Florid begins with a red red rash.

The rash usually begins on its face and spreads to the rest of the body.

32 and after Victoria, the country’s second highest state, WA, brings the number of measles to 26. There are 91 cases around the country.
