APSCHE extends time till February 23 to register for certification course on quantum computing

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has extended the last date for payment of examination fee for the certificate course “Introduction to Quantum Computing: Quantum Algorithms and Qiskit” to 23 February 2026.
The certification exam is being conducted in conjunction with the National Program for Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), Council Secretary B. Tirupati Rao said on Friday, February 20. Eligible students from Andhra Pradesh can now complete the examination fee payment of ₹500 by February 23, 2026 through the designated online portal, he said, adding that the application and payment window is live from February 16 to February 23, 2026.
Mr. Rao said important links that students should look for are APSCHE website: https://apsche.ap.gov.in, list of eligible students: https://apsche.ap.gov.in/Pdf/Final%20Eligible%20Quantum%20course%20List%2016226.pdf and payment link: https://qcce.aptonline.in/NPTELCET/HomePage.
This certificate course provides students with a strong foundation in quantum computing concepts, quantum algorithms, and hands-on application using Qiskit. The course may be given 1 credit academic weight. He said this represents a significant opportunity for students to be exposed to emerging technologies aligned with India’s quantum mission and future-ready skill development initiatives.
The secretary said that to promote inclusivity and accessibility, IBM is providing the course content in Telugu (MP3 and SRT files) for the benefit of intermediate students, especially in Telugu from general degree colleges across the state. He said the council encourages all eligible students to complete fee payment within the stipulated time, review basic quantum computing concepts, implement quantum circuits and algorithms using Qiskit, attempt mock tests and sample problems, and reach examination centers well in advance with required documents.
“Students are advised to use this opportunity to strengthen their knowledge in quantum technologies and perform with confidence in the exam,” he said, adding that students can contact for questions at: nptelquantumcomputing@apsche.org.
