Govt Committed to Inclusive Growth of Minorities: Azharuddin

Hyderabad: As part of the Telangana government’s flagship Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika, a mega business mela was inaugurated in Nampally on Tuesday under the aegis of the Minorities Welfare Department and Telangana Minorities Finance Corporation (TGMFC).
The Mela was inaugurated by Hyderabad Minister-in-Charge Ponnam Prabhakar and Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin.
Speaking at the event, Azharuddin thanked TGMFC Chairman Obedullah Kotwal and all stakeholders who contributed to the successful organization of the mela.
The Minister stated that significant progress has been made in the last two years with the initiatives of the Telangana Government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
He emphasized that many important initiatives have remained pending for years, but the current Government has taken concrete steps to ensure inclusive growth and opportunities for minority communities.
He informed that the government has created almost one lakh employment opportunities and the Minority Welfare department, in coordination with TGMFC, is actively working to connect minority youth with meaningful employment and career opportunities.
The Minister reiterated the Government’s unwavering commitment to support youth from all minority communities, including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and others, without discrimination.
He emphasized that the aim of the Mela is not just to distribute offer letters but to provide sustainable employment for every selected candidate. The Minister said, “We will follow the entire recruitment process closely. Our responsibility does not end with the issuance of offer letters. We will continue to follow the candidates until they successfully join their relevant organizations. It is our commitment and responsibility to provide employment opportunities to our youth.” he said.
He also announced that similar melas will be held in Telangana, including Nizamabad and other districts, to expand employment opportunities to more minority youth.
The minister urged young people to focus on education, professional development and skills development. He asked the unemployed youth to enroll in various Skill Development Training Programs conducted through Telangana Minorities Finance Corporation.
“There are various skill development initiatives and industry-focused training programs available through TGMFC. Young people need to actively participate in these programmes, hone their skills, participate in talks and take advantage of the opportunities created. Hard work, dedication and skills will pave the way for a successful future,” he said.
