Gazetted teachers’ association deliberates on key challenges faced by degree college faculty

The State Executive Committee of the Government College Gazetted Teachers Association (GCGTA) met here on Sunday, December 21, 2025, and discussed key issues such as challenges faced by faculty in Government Degree Colleges, current admission scenario, academic development and measures required to improve educational standards.
Participating in the program, MLC S. Ramakrishna shared information about the education system and functioning of state educational institutions in Finland, which he recently visited with a delegation from the Ministry of Education. Speaking about the Government colleges in the education system, he referred to the initiatives being undertaken by the government to improve educational standards.
The meeting was chaired by P. Gopala Naidu, State president of the association, while secretary Srinivasa Reddy apprised the members about the achievements of the State executive committee of the association.
Former State president Bhaskara Rao made several suggestions to the members. On this occasion, the GCGTA State table calendar was released. The program was attended by State joint secretary of the association K. Srinivas, vice-presidents M. Venkata Seshaiah, presidents and secretaries from various districts, district secretaries, district vice-presidents and large number of unit members from SRR and CVR Government Degree College.
