28 Persons Fall Ill Due to Food Poisoning in Konaseema District

Kakinada: On Thursday, Dr. As many as 28 people fell ill due to suspected food poisoning after eating food at a wedding function at Rammohanraopeta in Kothapeta mandal of BR Ambedkar Konaseema district.

The affected persons developed symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea and were admitted to the Government Hospital in Kothapeta for treatment. Hospital officials stated that their condition was stable.

Health minister Satya Kumar Yadav instructed medical authorities to provide advanced treatment to patients. Doctors reported that the condition of all the applicants was stable.

Kothapeta MLA Bandaru Satyananda Rao visited the hospital and inquired about the condition of the victims, assuring them of better care and early recovery.

Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, minister for agriculture and Konaseema, investigated the incident along with the district collector and local officials. He directed the health authorities to ensure appropriate medical care and directed the authorities to take preventive steps to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
