Great Southern Mining has launched a major 15,000 meter reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at its Gold Boulder discovery.
Golden Boulder, which leads Great Southern’s 100 per cent owned Duketon gold project, is fast emerging as a flagship prospect as the company works to unlock an entire 3.5km gold corridor.
Golden Boulder is located just 15 km southwest of Regis Resources’ Garden Well processing facility in the Rosemont-Ben Hur structural corridor, creating a future production option if a commercial resource is ultimately identified. The corridor is one of several significant gold-bearing trends controlled by the Great Southern throughout the Duketon Greenstone Belt.
Unlike a greenfield bet, this is a brownfield discovery in a proven gold region where the geological model has already yielded many gold mines and continues to reward explorers.
‘Great Southern’s strategic location close to existing operating plants increases development flexibility.’

More than 50 artifacts found in the area show where early miners followed rich shallow quartz veins but barely scratched a much larger gold system lurking below.
The new drilling program will now follow the gold of these older workings after drilling earlier this year confirmed gold mineralization along three parallel trends (Main Line, East Line and Ogilvies); The Main Line is now defined along a 3.5km strike and is still open at depth, along strike and along potential parallel seams.
Multi-mineral trends increase the opportunity to build a larger gold inventory over a wider area rather than relying on a single narrow vein.
Previous drilling in 2025 yielded a number of high-grade hits, including a spectacular 1-metre section grading 14.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 70.9 g/t. Another hole returned 6m at 6.7g/t gold; This includes bonanza grade gold at 34.5 g/t per m.
Great Southern Mining managing director Matthew Keane said: “Recent diamond drilling at Golden Boulder has greatly improved our understanding of the structural and geological environments that host gold mineralization. “More importantly, it led to a reinterpretation of the orientation of the gold-bearing structures, indicating significant depth increases.”
Armed with a new geological model and a $4.6 million war chest from its recently completed equity placement, Great Southern is fully funded for its drilling program.
In the study, firstly, the drillings in the northern and southern parts of the Main Line will be tightened to prove the continuity of gold mineralization, and then they will be expanded in depth. The program will also test whether the parallel East Line extends further south and below previous drilling, while also exploring higher-grade areas within the wider system.
The entire campaign is expected to last up to 12 weeks. The rig will then be moved 4km northwest to the nearby Amy Clarke mine, an emerging discovery within the Duketon gold project. Previous drilling here had already identified 4.7 kilometers of mineralization remaining open throughout the strike and at depth, including 6.7 g/t gold over 8 meters and an impressive 23.9 g/t gold over 2 metres.
Beyond the Duketon drilling campaign, Great Southern has built a healthy pipeline of news flows across its Western Australian gold portfolio.
At the company’s separate Mon Ami gold project, 12km south of Laverton, the RC rig has already completed a 16-hole, 3100m program with analyzes expected within the next three to four weeks.
Mon Ami hosts 55,500 ounces of gold resources on an existing mining lease and, with nearby processing infrastructure, could provide valuable satellite mill feed as exploration continues.
While Mon Ami says drilling at Golden Boulder is just weeks away and Amy Clarke is also in line for its real detector, Great Southern has built an intriguing catalyst pipeline around a district-scale gold opportunity supported by proven geology, nearby processing infrastructure and several advanced prospects.
