Harish Rao Alleges Neglect of Government Hostel Students

Siddipet: Former minister and BRS MLA T. Harish Rao on Thursday accused the State government of neglecting students in government hostels, alleging delays in food-related payments and welfare support for orphaned children.
Harish Rao participated in a blanket distribution program at an urban boarding school in Siddipet, where he also had lunch with the students. He examined the food served, including rice and eggs, and interacted with students to learn about their problems.
Addressing the meeting, the MLA alleged that food bills and cosmetics expenses had not been paid for the last five months, forcing the staff to bear the expenses from their own pockets. He claimed that students face difficulties due to inadequate support, especially during winter months.
Launching a political attack, Harish Rao criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for alleged governance and corruption and accused the government of not releasing funds promised under various schemes. He also defended former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, calling him the architect of Telangana, and said that the remarks against him were inappropriate.
The MLA demanded the government to immediately clear the pending bills and provide proper facilities and welfare for students in residential hostels.
