Harley Pearce death: Son of England legend Stuart Pearce killed in tractor crash

The 21-year-old son of former England football player and coach Stuart Pearce died in a tractor accident.

The Pearce family paid tribute to their “precious son and devoted brother” Harley Pearce on Monday following last week’s fatal crash.

Emergency services were called at around 2.30pm on Thursday to reports of a collision involving a tractor on the A417 Old Birdlip Hill at Witcombe, Gloucester.

While police appealed for information from the public about the accident, they said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a tribute shared on social media on Monday, the Pearce family said they were “truly shocked and completely heartbroken” by the loss.

“A spirit who left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew him,” they said.

“We are proud of this young man who, with quiet, understated strength and profound kindness, has demonstrated a great work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit in the agricultural industry. He will always be our shining star.”

“Rest in peace our beautiful son and brother. You will never be forgotten.”
