Harry and Meghan fear ‘no one will turn up’ to UK events | Royal | News

Instead, the couple, who quit royal life in 2020, reportedly feared people wouldn’t come to see them.
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe told New Magazine: “The Sussexes are pragmatic, they’re not stupid.
“I think their biggest fear is not that they will be booed by the crowds, but that there will be no crowds and they will be ignored, not attracting people to everything they do in public.
“That’s what they’re really going to be afraid of, and if you look at the opinion polls, that’s pretty reasonable, too.”
Larcombe also said he thought Meghan would be nervous about returning to the UK, having not visited her husband’s country since 2022.
He said: “They will put on a brave front and not show their fear, but there is no doubt they will be secretly worried about how things will go.
“Meghan hasn’t been here for a long time and a lot of people’s feelings for her have grown stronger during this time, so that’s going to be a concern.
“But Meghan is very good at appearing calm and confident on the outside, no matter how she feels.”
