Harry desperate for King Charles to see grandchildren as hopes for Montecito reunion grow | Royal | News

Prince Harry is reportedly desperate for King Charles to meet his grandchildren again in 2026. The King was last seen with Queen Elizabeth II in June 2022. He met 6-year-old Archie and 4-year-old Lilibet during Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
According to Prince Harry’s friends, the Duke of Sussex now wants them to be reunited with their grandfather. He would love to have the King come to his mansion in Montecito, California, and spend time with the children.
As reported by Suna source said: “Harry has made it clear that he would love to have his father come and visit him and his family. He knows they are nervous but has repeatedly expressed his hope that his father can form a relationship with his grandchildren.”
Harry met his father for the first time in 19 months last September. He has since expressed a desire to meet again despite strained family ties.
Despite his clearly documented recent health problems, the King announced before Christmas that his condition was improving. Although Harry could bring his family to the UK, he would reportedly love for the monarch to visit them in the US.
The King will visit the USA with Queen Camilla in April Donald Trump. This will be part of the 250th anniversary of America’s independence from British rule.
The news comes as a source close to the Sussexes claimed Harry had been assured that his armed security in the US would be restored. It has been reported that a new risk assessment has been carried out by the Royal and VIP executive committee (Ravec).
Sources said: “This is now a formality. Sources at the Home Office have stated that security has now been tightened for Harry.” The decision to reassess the risk followed a letter from the Duke to Home Affairs Minister Shabana Mahmood.
He was previously given a day’s protection during a trip to England for a children’s charity event last September. But a female follower managed to sneak into a safe area during the confrontation, forcing a former member of the armed forces to step in and protect the Duke of Sussex.
