‘He never wanted to be seen…’

According to Hamad Al Reyami’s Instagram post, Hema Malini described Dharmendra’s painful last days and never wanted to be seen on weekdays or in pain.
It’s been 7 days and Dharmendra’s death still feels like a nightmare you wish you’d never heard of. On November 24, Bollywood’s veteran action superstar He-Man left the world leaving his family and fans heartbroken forever. Dharmendra’s death was shocking, but his quiet funeral was an even bigger shock to everyone who knew or admired Dharmendra. None of the fans, not even their relatives, managed to take antim darshan of the superstar. The rushed last rites hurt millions of Dharam fans and a few even declared that they would boycott sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. But now Hema Malini has made a big statement about Dharam’s death and rushed funeral.
Dharmendra did not want to be seen this week: Hema Malini
According to Dubai-based filmmaker Hamad Al Reyami, Hema narrated to him the Sholay actor’s last moments and explained that it was Dharam’s decision not to appear weak. Hamad shared a photo with the emotionally sensitive Hema Malini and described their conversation in Arabic in the caption. “He was sad that his fans did not get the opportunity to see him one last time. And he told me in a loving motherly voice: “Dharmendra never wanted to look weak or sick in his life. He hid his pain even from the people closest to him. “Once the person leaves, the decision remains in the family’s hands.”
Death was a blessing for Dhamrmendra: Hema Malini
According to the post, the last days of Bollywood’s He-Man were brutal and painful and in a way, death was a blessing for Dharmendra. “But what happened was mercy… Because, Hamad, you couldn’t stand to see him like that. His last days were brutal… Painful… And even we can barely stand to see it like that.” The fan-filmmaker assured Hema that his love and respect for the late superstar will remain intact and prayed for salvation for his deceased soul.
