Helen Flanagan says she’s struggling with being out of work and has been left feeling ‘unsure’ of herself after being forced to move out of the family home

Helen Flanagan said she was struggling with being unemployed and feeling ‘unsure’ of herself after being forced to move out of her parents’ home.

The former Coronation Street actress, 35, recently sold the home she shared with ex Scott Sinclair and is now trying to figure out her next move.

The Daily Mail revealed this week that the Lancashire property, after being listed for sale for £1.5 million, eventually sold for £945,000.

Now Helen is between homes and took to her Instagram Story on Monday morning to reflect on her career and next steps forward.

In the video he said: ‘I don’t know, it’s just like… I’ve been feeling not so sure of myself lately.

‘I’m like… I’m turning 36 in August, I’ve just done this house move, I’m not sure where I am career-wise either.

‘There’s a lot of change going on and I don’t know, I just felt a little weird.’

On where he wants to settle next, he said: ‘I’m undecided about moving to London. I was going to pick it up here, but then I decided not to pick it up here, so it’s all a bit of a mess.

‘I’m frustrated about work too because I really want to act and basically I just want a job right now and I feel frustrated that way.’

He also said that he has not felt ‘creative’ in his social media efforts lately and that the posts have made him feel ‘anxious’.

At the end of last month, Helen said she was battling a heatwave as she moved out of the home she and Scott shared with their three children.

He took to Instagram to share that he was struggling with the high temperatures as the UK battled one of the worst heatwaves in its history.

He was sweating in a black gym outfit in the social media clip he penned: ‘Moving house in a heatwave’ and a crying, laughing emoji.

They began the process of moving out in May and it is not known whether Helen has been living in temporary accommodation or renting since then.

The Daily Mail has contacted Helen’s representatives for comment.

She recently made a thinly veiled dig at her ex-fiancé Scott as she bid farewell to the house.

She shared a video of herself getting ready to leave with her three children – ten-year-old Matilda, seven-year-old Delilah and five-year-old son Charlie.

But Helen, who mocked Scott, 37, said ‘it was always just the four of us’ despite the footballer also living at home.

She wrote in the caption: ‘We say goodbye to our beautiful home (Charlie obviously playing).

In her new Instagram video, she said: 'I don't know, it's like I've been feeling like I'm not so sure of myself lately...'

‘It was always just us, just four of us. I really feel like I found myself in this home and it was so special.

‘There are no words to describe how much I love you babies and I will always teach you what is important in life and what is not, to have morals and integrity, to live your lives authentically and to be true to yourself.

‘My relationships with all three of them will always be my priority and will remain so until my last breath.

‘There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you 3 x Your mother always took, always x.’

Chelsee Healey wrote “best mummy” in the comment, while Stephanie Davis wrote: “I’m so proud of you.”

The revelation comes after a source claimed the actor and footballer had a fight over furniture, with things between them becoming ‘toxic’ and Helen now refusing to speak to her ex-partner.

‘Helen is fuming because the sofa is worn out, the kids have torn it up and put lipstick all over it, so she’s spent a fortune reupholstering it and she rightly believes it’s hers now.

‘He thinks Scott is making trouble just for the sake of it. Helen even tried to sell the sofa for £3,950 on her Instagram account but Scott saw the post and said “wait, that’s mine, I’m coming to collect it”. He responded and said “no, that’s me”.

they continued to tell Sun: ‘Helen said she didn’t plan to talk to Scott or even look him in the eye, their relationship was still toxic. ‘All conversations about moving and furniture are mostly done over email.’

Following their split in 2022, Helen had apparently wanted to stay in the house but it was put up for sale in May last year for £1.5 million, later reduced to £1.195 million and then just £995,000.

The property is now marked as sold on Rightmove.

Land records show the house was bought for just £945,000 by a couple who run a property management company.

Agent Miller Metcalfe said of the home: ‘Extraordinary and beautifully presented detached family residence offering over 5,000 square feet of luxury living space.

‘This bespoke house enjoys a commanding position on the edge of the moors, with breathtaking views of the reservoirs and open countryside.

‘Set on a generous, secure plot with gated access, the property has a wide driveway leading to the double garage and is surrounded by well-tended gardens – perfect for al fresco dining and entertaining.

‘Spread over three floors, this home effortlessly combines character, quality and modern lifestyle.’

The entrance hall has floor-to-ceiling windows, an open-plan living area, a ‘swank’ kitchen and a generous breakfast bar.

Additional living spaces include a formal dining room, five reception rooms, six bedrooms and six bathrooms, including two-bedroom suites with their own private sitting rooms and en-suite shower rooms.

Actress Helen and footballer Scott were together for 13 years before their separation in 2022.

It was a bit harsh – not least because of the couple’s living arrangements.

A friend of Helen’s previously said: ‘Scott is paying for the house and all the bills and decides a six-bedroom house is too big for Helen to stay on her own with the kids.

‘But Helen doesn’t want to move and is putting her foot down. He loves it here, the children are in the local school and his parents live around the corner.

‘Scott wants to buy Helen a four-bedroom house. He even offered to put it in her name but he wants to stop the child support payments.

‘The relationship has completely broken down. They no longer communicate; ‘Everything is passed down from your parents.’

Helen also invested much of her own money in renovating the property, redecorating and remodeling parts of it.

More recently, he said, the couple had made peace with the move because there had been a ‘sadness’ in the house that was supposed to be their forever family home.
