Herdsman Dragged By Truck For 25 Km, Beheaded

-Bhopal: A shepherd in Madhya Pradesh district was hit by a speeding truck and then dragged for 25 km, dragging him to a bloody death, on Saturday.

Police said the incident took place around 10 a.m. in the Morena district.

According to police, a truck heading from Morena to Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior-Chambal district ran over a goat in Pahargarh district and then hit the shepherd who tried to stop it.

The goat herder, whose name was identified as Sonu Dhobi (25), got under the wheels of the truck and was dragged for 25 kilometers.

Police said that some passers-by noticed the shepherd’s body being dragged by a speeding truck and informed the police, who then chased the vehicle and stopped it near Kisaroli village.

Police recovered the murdered man’s body, entangled in the truck’s wheels, and found his head missing.

Pahargarh police station in-charge Rajendra Parihar said the driver was arrested.

He added that the family of the murdered shepherd was informed about the incident.

Local police chief Surendra Pratap Singh said the truck hit the shepherd and then dragged him for about 25 km, leading to his death.
