Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the Telangana government will develop Warangal on the Hyderabad line, along with Outer Ring Road (ORR), underground drainage system and an airport.

“All the three projects will start on March 31,” he said while addressing a public meeting at Narsampet in Warangal district on Friday after launching several development projects worth ₹532.24 crore.

Mr. Reddy asked local leaders not to spend money on elections and elect only Sarpanches who can work with Ministers and MLAs, stating that electing Congress-backed candidates will help in rapid development.

The CM also asked the cadre to avoid factionalism in villages as Sarpanch elections tend to create unnecessary differences. “Work to win people’s hearts,” he said, calling for clean elections instead of money-based polls.

Calling on people to take education seriously, the Prime Minister assured that the government will provide all opportunities for the education of children and said, “Education alone can change lives.”

Mr. Reddy also said that 60,000 government jobs were filled in the first year of his administration and 40,000 more job advertisements will be published soon. He called on unemployed youth to continue their studies diligently to find jobs in the government. “The previous BRS government wanted people to continue their traditional work, but the Congress wants people to work,” he said.

Recalling the previous administration’s warnings that farmers would “hang themselves” if they grew paddy, Mr. Reddy said his government had provided a bonus of ₹500.

He reiterated that the Congress government provided free electricity to farmers and distributed ₹ 9,000 crore in nine days under Rythu Bharosa. Around 20,000 crore farm loans were waived for 25.35 lakh farmers, terming it as an unprecedented achievement.

Mr. Reddy criticized the past government for linking ration cards to people’s assets. “In response, our government is issuing new ration cards and providing quality rice to ₹3.1 crore beneficiaries despite an annual burden of ₹13,000 crore.”

He reminded that 25 lakh Indiramma houses were built during the Congress rule between 2004 and 2014. Now the government is constructing 3,500 Indiramma houses in each constituency at an outlay of ₹22,500 crore.
