Hezbollah says Lebanon move on army plan is ‘opportunity,’ urges Israel to commit to ceasefire

Beirut (Reuters) -Hezbullah official Mahmud Qmati told Reuters on Saturday that the group thought that the group’s cabinet session was an opportunity to return to wisdom and mind “in an Army Plan.

On Friday, Lebanon welcomed a plan by the army to disarm Hezbollah by the army, and said that the army would start to run without setting a period of time for implementation and warning that the army had limited abilities.

However, he said that the Israeli military operations in Lebanon will prevent the ongoing army from progressing. Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Lebanese Information Minister Paul Morcos gave up saying that the cabinet officially approved the plan.

Qmati, Reuters said that Hezbollah has reached its assessment based on the government’s declaration on Friday. Israel said that the plan of Lebanon’s plan should be “suspended until the next announcement, without pulling the strikes from Southern Lebanon.

Last month, the Lebanese cabinet prepared a plan that would establish a state monopoly on the army on a gun and confirmed a US roadmap that aims to disarm Hezbollah in exchange for stopping Israeli military operations in Lebanon.

Qmati said Hezbollah that these two decisions were “exactly rejected” and expects the Lebanese government to prepare a national defense strategy.

Israel showed that if the Ordu took action to disarm Hezbollah last week, he would take back his military presence in Southern Lebanon. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, he killed four people and continued his strike.

A national division on the disarmament of Hezbollah has taken the headquarters in Lebanon since the destructive war with Israel last year, which raised a balance of power dominated by the Iranian -backed Shiite Muslim group.

Lebanon is under pressure for the US, Saudi Arabia and Hezbollah to disarm the group of domestic rivals. However, Hezbollah pushed back and even discussing unarmism would be a serious wrong step, saying that Israel continues air strikes on Lebanon and occupies the land areas in the south.

Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem raised the civil war ghost last month and warned the government to face the group and say that street protests were possible.
