Hilary Duff fans urge singer to divorce husband Matthew Koma over controversial relationship admission

Hilary Duff fans have called on the singer to ‘divorce’ husband Matthew Koma over a controversial affair confession.
The 38-year-old pop star sat at the table Rolling stone This week for a lengthy interview where he discusses his new album Luck… Or Something, his recent return to the stage, and his personal life.
But eyebrows were raised when she made a brutally honest admission to her fear that her partner would one day leave her for someone ‘cooler’.
Koma’s reaction to his insecurities added fuel to the fire.
“I always thought Matt would leave me for some cool indie songwriter he was working with,” Duff admitted during the interview.
Koma later responded: ‘This is so crazy. But it’s also very real. These are real things to get emotionally stuck with.’
This post spread quickly on X, formerly known as Twitter, and caused great reactions for the 38-year-old producer and DJ, who married Duff in 2019.
‘Why is it a real thing that your wife is insecure about this, Matthew?’ one user joked.

Another said: ‘If my man said this in front of everyone I would cheat on him.’
Another simply wrote: ‘Divorce.’
‘Why are you saying her feelings are REAL?’ a different disgruntled fan asked.
‘Crazy response,’ read the fifth post, while the sixth said: ‘Uh… Doesn’t seem very reassuring about her fear.’ What happened?’
‘I’m sorry but a good man would never, ever make you feel this way…’ insisted another user.
Another theorized: ‘This doesn’t sound like a healthy relationship.’
“He’s getting mad at me,” said a different user.
But others came to her defence, with one writing: ‘He seems to be trying to validate her feelings as a person, that they are right, while also implying that this will never happen.’

The exchange quickly went viral on
‘She was trying not to fire him even though she thought it was ridiculous,’ insisted another.
‘Y’all… I think he was trying not to invalidate her feelings without calling it ‘real’ as it could be, more like insecurities are a real thing,’ another argued.
‘Please stay calm and stay away from Matthew,’ another post read. ‘Matt adores her and always tells her how lucky she is.
‘I think he was just saying he understood why they had insecurities.’
The two met in 2015 while collaborating on the star’s album Breathe In. Exhale.
They got engaged four years later and married in a private ceremony at their home in Los Angeles in December 2019.
In 2021, Duff told People: ‘We knew we were meant to be together because we tried being apart so many times and it didn’t work for either of us.’
Duff shares daughters Banks, seven, Mae, four, and Townes, 21 months, with Koma. She is also the mother of her 13-year-old son, Luca, from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie.
