‘Tejashwi Yadav is going to become chief minister’: Akhilesh Yadav

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday criticized exit polls predicting NDA win in Bihar assembly polls, asserting that Tejashwi Yadav will become the chief minister after the end of the assembly elections.

“People in Bihar voted for change; Tejashwi Yadav will be the chief minister. To stop the Mahagathbandhan, the BJP is deliberately making its own people conduct the exit polls,” Yadav told reporters here.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Prime Ministerial face of Mahagathbandhan Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday alleged that there may be attempts by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to manipulate the Bihar assembly election results ahead of counting on November 14.
According to Yadav, the NDA will “make every attempt to slow down vote counting” and try to “create fear among the people” while trying to “kill democracy”. He also criticized the Center for the recent Delhi blast near the Red Fort, which killed at least 8 people.

“This time they will make every attempt to slow down the (NDA) vote counting. They will create fear in the District Headquarters. They will not do anything at the place of the bomb blast. But to create fear among the people, they will take out a military flag march to massacre democracy in all districts of Bihar,” Yadav told reporters at a press conference here.

Multiple exit polls conducted yesterday predicted an NDA win in the Bihar assembly elections. The exit polls emerged after the completion of polling in Bihar. The People’s Pulse poll allocated 133-159 seats to NDA, 75-101 seats to Mahagathbandhan and 0-5 seats to Jan Suraaj. It was stated that the others could probably get 2-8 seats. People’s Insight’s poll predicted 133-148 seats for NDA, 87-102 seats for Mahagathbandhan, 0-2 seats for Jan Suraaj and 3-6 seats for independent candidates. The JVC poll predicts that NDA is likely to win 135-150 seats, Mahagathbandhan may win 88-103 seats, Jan Suraaj may win 0-1 seats, while others may win 3-6 seats. According to DVC Research poll survey, NDA is expected to win 137-152 seats, Mahagathbandhan 83-98 seats, Jan Suraaj 2-4 seats and others 4-8 seats.

The first phase of voting was held on November 6, and the second phase ended on Tuesday.
