Ashley Flynn found dead in Ohio as homicide investigation underway

A Christian mother of two was found dead in her Ohio home as authorities launched a murder investigation.
Ashley Flynn, 37, was found dead after a reported burglary at a home in Tipp City, Ohio, and investigators continue to search for a suspect, according to the Tripp County Police Department.
On Monday, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Cunningham Court around 2:30 a.m. on a report of a burglary involving a resident who was shot, the department said. When officers arrived, they met Flynn’s husband and two children at the residence. Police determined that the woman died at the scene.

The police immediately took security measures at home and in the surrounding area. Family members were notified and responded to assist in the care of the children and Flynn’s husband.
A perimeter was established around the neighborhood and officers deployed police dogs and drones to search for potential suspects. Authorities said no suspects were found during the initial search.

Investigators and crime scene technicians from the Tipp City Police Department and agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation remained at the scene throughout the day to collect and process evidence.
In a later update, the ministry said it was working closely with the state investigation agency and using all available resources to examine what it called a “complex situation.”

Flynn was a Tipp City Schools substitute teacher and Tippecanoe Middle School volleyball coach.
“She was known for her beautiful smile, warmth, kindness and the positive impact she had on so many people both in and out of the classroom and on the field,” the school district said. he said.

The Christian Life Center in Butler Township said Flynn was a beloved member of the church. Pastor Jordan Hansen said in a statement that Flynn was “killed in his home.”
“Ashley Flynn is with Jesus. Please pray for her husband, her two daughters, and the extended family she leaves behind. Please pray [the] ongoing investigation. Please pray that God’s presence will bring comfort to this incomprehensible situation,” she said in a Facebook post. “We need Jesus and His grace in the ‘What now?’
