“As we are all part of one big family, human life is defined by giving back to the world. A person works and spends for the good of the society, not as a favour, but out of duty. By serving others, we promote our own development. By helping others develop, we elevate ourselves and grow as human beings. This principle is the core value of this Indian land, commonly known as the Hindu society,” Bhagwat said.
“This is the enduring morality of society that has survived for thousands of years. For various reasons, partly due to our indifference, partly due to foreign invasion, those who preserved this morality have paid a heavy price,” he said.
The foreign invaders found that this morality of the society, this value system, was its soul and was the key to keeping it alive. The RSS chief added that thus, those who tried to maintain this spirit were uprooted and faced great difficulties.
But despite foreign invasions and challenges, tribal communities and Scheduled Castes preserved the identity and spirit of the country, he said. “Despite such adversities, the core identity of the country remained intact among tribal communities and those belonging to SC and ST groups.” he said, emphasizing the need to integrate them into the mainstream development process while ensuring they receive equal access to services and facilities.

Referring to global developments, Bhagwat stated that the current world is “stumbling forward” and is having difficulty maintaining balance, and suggested that India can emerge as a stabilizing force.
He said the country should not only protect its own interests but also support the world.
“The world must see that the country not only solves its own misery and sorrow, but also helps solve similar problems,” he said.
The RSS chief said that service to society is not a favor but a duty that contributes to one’s own development.
He said helping others grow also uplifts individuals and strengthens the collective fabric of society.
Bhagwat noted that the so-called educated and developed segments are moving away from these communities over time and called for closing this gap.
He further said that the identities preserved by these communities represent the true identity of Indian society and underlined that without identity, existence itself is at risk.
