Hoax bomb threat to ISRO: Man traced to Uttar Pradesh, arrested

Police arrested a 36-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh in connection with a fake bomb threat email sent to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Antariksh Bhavan, located on New BEL Road in the northern part of the city, on Thursday.
The accused in the first case has been identified as unemployed Nishanth Tyagi, who the Bengaluru City Police claimed was “mentally ill”. The arrest followed a complaint filed by an administrative official from ISRO headquarters after the threat was declared a fraud.
Following the complaint, the police formed a special team that conducted a technical investigation and traced the accused to Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
“We seized the defendant’s electronic device and examination confirmed that the email was sent by him,” police said in a statement.
Second email
Meanwhile, another bomb threat email was sent to the same organization on Friday. However, the second email was sent by a different person.
A senior police officer from the Northern Division confirmed: Hindu He said another email was sent on Friday.
“We conducted another thorough search and the threat was declared fake. The same team will investigate this case as well,” the officer said.
