Homicide probe under way after death of child in Lowood, Queensland

A child was found dead at a house in Brisbane’s west, sparking a murder investigation.

Police were called to a home in Lowood shortly before 11.10pm on Monday.

A child who remained unresponsive at the scene died.

Police said a 31-year-old woman known to the child is currently assisting investigators with their investigations.

Investigations continue. Police said there is no ongoing threat to the community.
