Honda wants more of its premium motorcycles to come to Indian factories

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), the country’s second-largest two-wheeler company, is looking to bring more of its global premium motorcycle models to India and localize them across its factories if volume growth in the segment continues as TVS, Hero and Bajaj ramp up product launches.

In an interview with MintTsutsumu Otani, president, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said the company has recorded very strong sales volume growth in the premium segment, especially among young consumers, and plans to expand its presence.
