Horror as Al-Qaeda launches massive attack with ’22’ wounded or dead | World | News

Members of the terrorist organization Al Qaeda launched an attack on the Yemeni military headquarters in the Albyan province of the country. According to initial findings, 22 people were injured or lost their lives in the terrible attack.

It was reported that the attack took place at the headquarters of the Security Belt First Support and Reinforcement Brigade in the Al Mahfad district of Yemen’s Abyan Governorate. The attack was attributed to AQAP, a Sunni Islamist militant organization that aims to overthrow the Yemeni government and establish the Islamic Emirate of Yemen, and included two car bombs attacking the Southern Transitional Council power base. Initial reports suggest that 22 people were killed in the attack and six AQAP attackers were also killed. It was reported that the regional hospital was also damaged due to a nearby explosion during the attack.
