Horror as Al-Qaeda urges Muslims to slaughter Americans and Jews | World | News

An Al Qaeda leader issued a dire edict to his followers “to eliminate the double evil” between US citizens and Jews. Sa’ad bin Atef al-Awlaki is the leader of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

The notorious terrorist led attacks against the United States in Yemen and kidnapped Americans and other Westerners in the country. The US government is offering a reward of up to $10 million for information about Islamists. In his latest edict, al-Awlaki calls on Muslims to launch a campaign of terror against Jews and Americans worldwide and praises recent attacks.

“I bless and praise all the heroic operations against Jews and Americans around the world,” he said.

“And I call on every honorable and zealous Muslim and every free, brave and noble person in this world to take the initiative and eliminate the double evil – Jews and Americans – wherever they are found.

“For they are the root and foul swamp of disaster, and the raw material and foul seed of evil.

“I congratulate those who have written their names on the list of glory and honor for the victory they achieved, as best they could, against every drop of blood shed by the oppressed or against every tear shed by a defenseless child or woman, as a result of the cruelty and oppression of these two evils called Jews and Americans.”

He also called on the Chinese government to halt its actions against Uyghur Muslims, warning that if this does not happen the group will “go beyond” targeting interests on land and at sea.

Many analysts believe that AQAP has become Al Qaeda’s most dangerous branch since its emergence in 2009. Its main goals include establishing a caliphate in the Arabian Peninsula and implementing sharia law.

The group also targets local, US and Western interests in the Arabian Peninsula and around the world.

AQAP attacked foreign tourists as well as numerous embassies using car bombs and suicide bombs.

He is believed to have carried out a deadly attack on a hospital in the Ministry of Defense complex in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, in 2013. At least 52 people were killed, including a relative of then-President Abdu Rabu Mansur Hadi.
