Horror as girl, 19, raped by Syrian refugee in toilet next to UK beach | UK | News

A Syrian teenager has been found guilty of raping a 19-year-old woman in a portable toilet on Bournemouth beach. Mohammed Abdullah, 19, was convicted following a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court on charges of rape and assault by penetration of the woman in the early hours of July 6, 2025. Judge Robert Pawson remanded the defendant in custody until his sentencing hearing on July 3 and ordered a probation report to be prepared.
He told Abdullah: “On the 5th and 6th of July, you were traveling here from London with a group of young men when you unfortunately crossed paths with (the complainant). He had had too much to drink, it was late at night, he was on Bournemouth beach and you suddenly decided to take advantage of it.”
