Allegedly, a woman tied her two-year-old daughter’s arms, legs and ankles together and then laid her face down on the bed to suffocate. Sierra Shay Hadaway, 22, was charged with murder, while the second suspect, Christian Myles Sturkie, shot himself to death after the baby’s death.

Madilynn Hadaway was found dead on June 12 after she was allegedly tied up and left face down on a bed. It is believed that he died from asphyxiation, but no further information has been made public. The murder suspect was not arrested until Thursday, July 16. It is also unclear what Sturkie’s relationship is with the girl.

As reported by New York PostMadilynn was found dead in Lanett, Alabama, USA. The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was left face down for 12 hours and suffocated to death.

Sierra Hadaway’s Facebook profile under the name Sierra Hill includes a monument in memory of her daughter. It says “Madilynn Grace 09/22/2023-06/12/2026” and the phrase “But GOD.”

Meanwhile, the boy’s obituary described him as a “precious angel.” He added: “Although her time with us was so short, Madilynn filled our lives with immeasurable love, laughter and happiness. “Her bright smile, curious spirit and joyful heart brought life to all who knew her.

“She had a special way of bringing joy to those around her, and her sweet presence made each day brighter. She taught those around her the purest meaning of love.”

“Madilynn enjoyed playing with dolls, getting dirty in the yard, and living wild and free with her best friends.”

Local media has confirmed that Hadaway is being held without bond at the Chambers County Detention Facility.

Lanett is located in eastern Alabama along the Chattahoochee River and the Georgia state line. It has a population of approximately 6,750 people.
