He heard an investigation, a three -person mother was electrified in a fatal way after using the charging phone. 46-year-old Ann-Marie O’gorman of Dublin district, Shanliss Boulevard, was found unresponsively by her husband in the en-water bath at home in October 2024.
Joe O’gorman told Coroner that he talked to his wife at 19.58 on his way home from leaving his youngest daughters to a disco. He believes that his wife could already be in the bathroom during this conversation. When he returned home, Mr. O’gorman went into the bathroom to find his wife unresponsive and lay next to the bathroom.
Mr. O’gorman said how he noticed his wife’s iPhone in the bathroom with a cable.
He said he had received a small electric shock before he called his eldest daughter Leah to look for emergency services.
Mr. O’gorman tried to give his wife cp in vain, noticing red signs on his chest and hands.
The widow now calls for more awareness about using mobile phones in the bathroom, which is something that phone companies do not do enough.
He said: “All you hear is how these phones are up to six meters of water. It gives people the idea that you can keep your phone close to water.
“There must be warnings that this is dangerous.”
Mr. O’gorman said that the couple’s three -meter charging cable was installed in the bedroom and that the phone should only be in water.
“Nothing is done to say that this is a danger that you can die by any provider. This is the only thing people should know.”
