A man has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in broad daylight at a train station restaurant. British Transport Police He said the alleged attack took place at the Wasabi branch in New Street, Birmingham station Around 13:00 on Sunday, May 17th.
The woman entered the restaurant, where she was approached by a man who blocked her way and tried to chat with her. Police said the man sexually assaulted her. Several customers saw what was happening and took action to challenge the culprit.
He was arrested at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault and released on bail pending further police investigations.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and assist the investigation.”
BTP described the man as a white man with tan skin. He is about 30 years old, has a buzz cut and light eyes.
Police said he was wearing black clothing and a black bomber jacket at the time of the alleged crime.
