Tories reveal the ‘proof’ Robert Jenrick was plotting defection to Reform

The Conservatives have published “evidence” that Robert Jenrick is planning to switch to Reformation England just hours after he was dramatically sacked by Kemi Badenoch.
The Conservative Party leader moved to sack him on Thursday morning, saying he had obtained “irrefutable evidence that he was secretly plotting to escape in a way designed to be as damaging as possible” to colleagues and the shadow cabinet.
Then, hours later at a chaotic press conference, Nigel Farage revealed that he had joined Mr Jenrick’s party and that they had been talking “for weeks”.
A Conservative Party spokesman, who released the documents that led to Mr Jenrick’s dismissal, said: “We have decided to publish summaries of the evidence we have received in relation to Robert Jenrick’s planned departure. We have no doubt that Jenrick was involved in the preparation of these remarks and intended to backstab his Conservative colleagues.”
Below is an extract from the letter reportedly left by a member of Mr Jenrick’s team and communicated to Ms Badenoch:

“The Conservatives and Labor have lost the right to govern the UK and the mandate has now passed to Reform.
“Nigel represents the real change we have needed for over a decade. If someone can put party allegiance – personal ambition – aside, he is clearly the right person to lead the movement for this and deliver it. And I believe Nigel will deliver the real change that is needed.
“Thanks to Zia and Richard, Reformation’s policies are already better received than those of other parties. But they and Nigel understand what the extraordinary challenges facing Britain require.” [ sic ] A comprehensive plan to turn things around. Developing the best possible will be a big priority this year.
“As it is [ sic ]As Nigel has said many times, building and recruiting the team to make it work.
“For all these reasons, I am proud to be Reform’s 281,000th member today, to support Nigel and to join this movement.
“I know in my heart that this is what’s right for our country. If you, like me, have supported another party but you know it has lost its way, don’t stay. Don’t stay with a party that isn’t loyal to you when your country needs you. And perhaps more importantly, if you’ve never been involved in politics before but think you have the energy, ideas and experience to turn Britain around. Come join.
“I agree that Britain is broken. It is in great decline. It is on the brink. Real change is needed. And I know that neither the Conservatives nor the Labor Party will be able to achieve this. Come join Reform.”
