How a debt transaction helped lift profit at Reliance Retail in 2025-26

Isha Ambani, daughter of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, runs the retail business. “FY26 marks a year of profitable growth for Reliance Retail at scale,” Isha Ambani said in a press release on April 24. “The most significant change this year was structural,” he said, adding that hyperlocal commerce orders more than quadrupled from the previous year. He said Reliance operates India’s largest hyper-local distribution network in grocery, electronics and fashion through over 3,100 stores in over 1,200 cities. “This is a uniquely Indian platform built on a unique Reliance advantage of scale.”
