Florida Lt. Gov. Jay Collins, who could potentially make a gubernatorial bid in the Sunshine State, appears to be attacking U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds, President Donald Trump’s endorsed candidate for governor.
Collins, who Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis nominated for lieutenant governor earlier this year, retweeted a post on X that juxtaposed her and Donalds with the phrases “Tough as Nails” and “Soft as Soy.”
“Hard times → Strong men,” Collins wrote When you retweet the post. “Strong men → Good times,” he continued. “Good times → Skinny guys,” he added. “Weak men → Hard times.”

Collins responded by saying, “We are just finalizing that plan.” He later said, “We will announce our final decision here shortly. But we are really close to making that final call.”

In addition to President Trump’s support, Donalds has also been endorsed by GOP Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas.
Businessman Elon Musk also declared Donalds has his “full support”.
