This week, there was bombshell news about former soldier Ben Roberts-Smith being arrested at Sydney Airport and handcuffed just outside Qantas QF515 from Brisbane. He is charged with five counts of war crime murder, related to crimes allegedly committed in Afghanistan between April 2009 and October 2012.

Following a five-year investigation by the Office of Special Investigations and the Australian Federal Police, prosecutors will allege Roberts-Smith was a member of the Australian Defense Force when he was involved in the deaths of Afghan nationals who were unarmed and not taking part in hostilities at the time of the alleged murder.
