The banter between RM and Jimin consisted of the duo teasing each other about the poor network connection and unusually low viewership and how it had nothing to do with BTS’s future as a group.

Among the world’s most prominent K-pop groups, BTS has influenced a generation of Korean entertainment rookies and is currently gearing up for a full-scale reunion and a new group album, as seven members (Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook) have completed their South Korean mandatory military service.

The group, also known as Bangtan Boys, Beyond the Scene or Bulletproof Boy Scouts, is no stranger to intense excitement from fans, especially when an unexpected rendition is revealed during a live broadcast. This scenario recently occurred when RM appeared in a Weverse session alongside Jimin, sparking instant speculation in the ARMY fandom.

During the post-workout live broadcast on November 21, RM and Jimin surprised fans with an unscheduled live broadcast. The moment quickly turned lighthearted when the couple realized the stream only showed one viewer. Jimin joked, “Only one person joined. The network doesn’t work very well here but there’s actually only one viewer.”

RM then laughed and said, “Then let’s just say let it go. Is it time to disband?” he said. Jimin quickly retorted, “What do you mean, time to disperse?” before they both burst into laughter. RM continued the joke and added: “Because there’s no one to watch us anymore.” This joyful post spread quickly on social media, leaving some ARMY fans briefly confused and worried.

It quickly became clear that the banter between RM and Jimin was just the duo teasing each other about poor network connection and unusually low viewership, and had nothing to do with BTS’s future as a group. Sharing RM and Jimin’s clip on

BTS was founded in 2010 and debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment with the single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. The group is considered the best-selling musical group in South Korean history, having surpassed 40 million album sales as of 2023. Featured on Time magazine’s international cover as “Next Generation Leaders” and hailed as “Princes of Pop”, BTS was also included in Time’s 25 Most Influential People on the Internet and 100 Most Influential People in the World lists.
