In War 2, Hrithik Roshan revived the role of former agent Kabir DHaliwal and marked the Bollywood output of JR NTR as a raw agent Vikram Chelapathi. After the additional Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan and Tiger 3, the sixth film in the YRF spy universe played Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana and Varun Badola in basic supportive roles.
Launched on August 14, War was disappointed for audiences and critics. The film, which also serves as a direct continuation of the war that broke the 2019 box office records, was praised for good action series and powerful performances, but a general story was criticized for the dragged scenario and adhesive visual effects.
On the first six days, the war won the RS 196 Crore Net in India and 298 RS Crore worldwide. On the seventh day, the entertainment portal Sacnilk’s first estimates, Ayan Mukjid Manager added RS 6 Crore to their earnings. This means that Yash Raj Films has passed the RS 200 Crore sign in India and the globally 300 RS Crore is printed.

The Tamil Action thriller, directed by Loksh Kanagaraj, received mixed criticisms from viewers and critics, but it appeared as a greater hit than Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Globally won 420 RS and collected the RS 225 Crore net in India.
