A massive fire broke out in Rhyl, filling the sky with thick black smoke that could be seen for miles. Crews fight in an industrial unit at Ffordd Las.
Locals reported that a fire broke out in one vehicle and spread to a nearby unit. North Wales LiveIt was reported that people living near the area were evacuated. Pictures taken from the scene show huge plumes of black smoke billowing into the evening sky over a UK town. One person reported that residents living nearby were unable to return to their homes due to the cordon.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service issued a statement urging people to close their windows and doors and stay away from the area while firefighters battle the blaze.
A spokesman said: “Crews are currently responding to a fire at a property in Ffordd Las, Rhyl.
“Local residents are asked to close windows and doors and avoid the area while firefighters battle the blaze.”
