Humans won’t be living to 100 anytime soon

It does not become widespread for people at the age of 100.

In spite of unprecedented gains in the last century, life expectancy has stopped in recent years, and experts claim that unless a “big breakthrough” took place in the long -lasting humanity, they cannot reach anywhere near the centenary of the current generation.

Researchers analyzed the data for 23 high -income countries and discovered that in the first half of the 20th century, life expectancy rose from 62 to 80.

However, the gains have been dramatic since then, and there is no indication that it will rise to 100 in the predictable future, because people are no longer possible to die at an early age.

Jose Andrade, the author of the research, said the Max Planck Demographic Research Institute said: “We estimate that those born in 1980 will not be 100 and none of the cohortes in our study will reach this milestone.

“This decrease is largely due to the fact that long -lasting fluctuations are caused by record -valued improvements in survival at a very young age.”
