Hundreds of GPs tell BBC they have never refused a fit note over mental health concerns

Last year, a government report examining the role of employers in health and disability said suitability ratings were “often problematic”. The Keep Working England review noted that GPs often do not have the time or professional health training to fully assess whether someone is working or not.
