Hyderabad Braces for Evening Showers, Gusty Winds: IMD
Hyderabad: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light to moderate rain or thunderstorms along with gusty winds of 40 to 50 km per hour are expected in the city on Wednesday evening or night.
“Temperatures are likely to be around 36°C and 26°C respectively. Surface winds are likely to blow from the West or North-West and wind speeds will be around six to 10 kmph,” IMD said in a morning local forecast for Hyderabad.
The maximum temperature in the city was recorded as 36.6°C and the minimum temperature was 23.7°C. 015.6 MM of rainfall was recorded on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, heavy rain not only halted traffic in many places, especially Cyberabad, but also affected electricity supply till midnight. The power outage, which was interrupted at 18.30 in East and West Marredpally, came back around 02.30 on Wednesday, leaving the residents in a desperate situation.
