Hyderabad Metro Rail to Operate 56 Trains for Passengers Convenience

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Rail, in coordination with LTMRHL, has decided to increase the frequency of metro trains to the maximum possible in view of the strike of RTC employees on Wednesday.
In order to reduce the inconvenience experienced by the citizens of Hyderabad due to the RTC strike, LTMRHL will operate 56 trains during both peak and off-peak hours during the strike period.
On a normal weekday, 56 trains operate at three minute and 40 second intervals between two consecutive trains during the morning and evening rush hours, from 08.00 to 10.30 in the morning and from 17.00 to 20.00 in the evening.
During off-peak hours, the frequency is reduced by using 44 trains, maintaining a gap of four minutes 50 seconds at Miyapur-LB Nagar (C1) and five minutes 20 seconds at Nagole – Raidurg (C3).
Considering the RTC strike, it was decided to run a maximum of 56 trains throughout the day at intervals of 4 minutes 20 seconds in the Miyapur – LB Nagar corridor and at intervals of 3 minutes 40 seconds in the Nagole – Raidurg corridor.
Additionally, according to the statement, at the request of HMRL, LTMRHL is also examining the possibility of extending the last metro train service after 23:00 at night in order to alleviate the difficulties faced by people due to the RTC strike.
