Hyderabad SHE Teams Secure Conviction in 2 Harassment Cases

Hyderabad: Hyderabad EHS Teams actively addressed complaints received through various means, including WhatsApp, direct petitions and social media platforms, and achieved successful conviction in two harassment cases.
In both cases, the defendants were involved in harassing women through repeated phone calls and social media interactions, causing mental distress and distress to the victims. The defendants are accused of working at the XI Building in Nampally. He was brought before the Special Criminal Court of Peace and the conviction was finalized.
Chinthalapally Naveen Reddy (30) of Karimnagar was found guilty of harassing a known woman through repeated calls, messages and blackmail, despite clear warnings by SHE Teams officials. A petty case was registered under Section 292 BNS and Section 70(c) of the Hyderabad City Police Act.
Gadapa Naresh (28), of Langer House, was found guilty of harassing unidentified women through phone calls and social media platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram. He was constantly sending unwanted messages and harassing women, causing fear and mental stress.
A petty case was registered under Section 292 BNS and Section 70(c) of the Hyderabad City Police Act. Both the persons were convicted by the court and sentenced to a fine of Rs 1,050 along with two days Simple Imprisonment (SI).
SHE Teams appealed to the public, especially women and girls, to report any incidents of online harassment, stalking, blackmail or obscene communication through the SHE Teams hotline or official social media platforms. Strict legal action will be taken against perpetrators involved in harassment against women in any way.
