Hyderabad to host global medical tourism event in June to attract international patients, investment

Hyderabad will host an international medical tourism event in June as part of the Telangana government’s effort to position the city as a global health hub. Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha on Tuesday directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the event, where participation is expected from medical and pharmaceutical industries across the world.
Authorities were instructed to invite delegates from Africa, Asia and the Middle East and ensure the participation of leading domestic and international stakeholders in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector. The Minister also called for collaboration with private players in the medical tourism sector to strengthen the scope and reach of the event.
