HYDRAA Protected 1,970 sq. yds Parkland In Medchal
Hyderabad: HYDRAA said in a statement on Saturday that it had removed encroachments from the 1,970 square meter area. yd parking area at Sai Sri Nilaya Layout in Medchal and the land has been fenced to prevent further illegal occupation.
The settlement scheme, developed in 2000 on an area of 13.31 decares in Surveys No. 873 and 882, consists of 256 parcels, of which parcels 111 to 116 are allocated as parks. Allegedly, approximately 400 square meters of land was encroached on, divided into parcels and surrounded by prefabricated concrete boundary walls.
Following a complaint from Sai Sri Nilaya Residency Welfare Association during HYDRAA’s Prajavani public grievance redressal programme, authorities conducted a site inspection with relevant departments and confirmed the encroachment.
HYDRAA tore down illegal border walls, defined park boundaries, placed signs declaring it parkland, and erected fences around the area. Officials estimated the value of the protected land at around Rs 20 crore.
